Yep, I seem to be getting out the “Best of” series later and later each year. Sorry gang. I think this whole economic downturn thingy had me a little frightened so I spent much of the first part of this year working – and when I wasn’t working, I was looking for more work. But as things slowed down a little bit the past few weeks, I made the time to put 2008 together. It’s much shorter than the previous ones, both by choice and by necessity – during the editing process I realized how little I was picking up the camera during the year. I’ll try and remedy that for 2009. Regardless, there were number of great memories, including two amazing pranks: one seen here and the other mentioned after the jump.

The Thanksgiving Prank

During Thanksgiving dinner, we pulled yet another prank on our buddy Adam, involving Leslie (Jenny’s mom, seated to the left of Adam in the following video), Annie (Adam’s girlfriend, seated to the right), and me (as cameraman, opposite of Leslie). The plan was simple and uncomfortably awesome: after dinner when we’re all chatting and tipsy, Leslie would place her hand on Adam’s leg, and slighty stroke his thigh. Now, Adam and Leslie had only met, I think, the day before. They still really didn’t know each other – which makes the prank work. I think we were all hoping Adam would jump up from his seat and yell, but he played it cool. Although, I think you can see some cold sweat form on his forehead.

The following is a shortened edit of the “encounter”. Since it’s still a little boring for those who weren’t there, I added in recorded audio of us watching the raw video about an hour later that night – so hopefully the laughter enough will be contagious.
